Ghana Premier League title chasers Nations FC will hosts relegation-threatened Accra Lions on Sunday at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Kumasi.
The Abrankese-based club will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways after their defeat to Berekum Chelsea last week.
Before the 1-0 loss at the Golden City Park, Nations FC had been on a run of four wins on a row, including wins over Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
Meanwhile, Accra Lions have been poor on the road and are still chasing a first win away since the start of the 2024/25 season.
However, their record against Nations FC has not been the best, having lost two of their three meetings.
Ahead of the match in Abrankese, Accra Lions will head into the game seeking for a positive result as they battle to salvage their campaign. Their return to the Accra Sports Stadium has seen a lift in confidence, brushing aside teams with ease at home to lift them a place above the drop zone.
Accra Lions have won three of their last five games.
The visitors will count on the experience of Musa Hamzata, captain Ibrahim Issa and Bernard Kesse for the trip to Kumasi.
But they will have to deal with the lethal attack of Nations FC with the likes of Faisal Charwetey and Nafiu Sulemana.
The result of the game in Kumasi could affect the ambitions of both clubs.
